day care to dependent seniors and to provide respite and supportive counseling
to the caregivers of these seniors."
Valley Haven Senior Day Care is a non-profit 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization.
It was founded in 1986 and now operates two senior day care centers.

OUR GOAL IS TO HELP SENIORS REMAIN AT HOME AS LONG AS POSSIBLE, AVOIDING
UNNECESSARY AND COSTLY INSTITUTIONAL CARE.
Valley Haven provides the following services to dependent seniors and
caregivers:
- Senior Day Care Program: Valley Haven’s Senior
Day Care program provides a safe, but stimulating environment during the
day for seniors who suffer from confusion, memory loss, physical disabilities
or other symptoms associated with failing health. Many of our participants
have Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, suffered a stroke or are very
frail.
- Respite: Valley Haven’s day care program allows
family members and caregivers to leave their loved ones in a safe, supervised
environment for 6 hours a day. Our program allows the caregiver to have
some time off (respite) from the emotional and physical demands of caring
for a dependent senior.
- Senior Nutrition Services: light breakfast, hot lunch
and snack served daily that meet state nutritional guidelines for the
elderly.
- Transportation to and from program: wheel chair accessible
van, door-to-door service, driver trained in dementia and elder care issues.
- Individual Supportive Counseling: free to all caregivers
and family members.
- Caregiver Education and Referrals: resource library
available free to community for loan.
- Caregiver Support Group: Twice a month at no charge
with day care provided.
NO ONE IS DENIED ADMITTANCE TO OUR PROGRAM DUE TO AN INABILITY TO PAY!
